In 2014, the Roland Aira System-1, which simulates the operation of analog devices, was presented to the audience. The work of the Roland Aira System-1 is directly based on a technologically new solution hidden behind the abbreviation ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior), which mathematically recreates the operation of analog electronic circuits in real conditions. The Roland Aira System-1 is based on a thorough analysis of analog circuits of legendary synthesizers and represents almost all vintage synthesizers from Roland in one flacon.

In addition to the stunning sound, the Roland Aira System-1 has a completely innovative design, with a solid body and modern controls. For the user's convenience, the Roland Aira System-1 has a large number of glowing knobs and sliders that are highlighted to show exactly which synthesis modules we can use in this plugin, which is great for various representatives' of the music community.

As a gift to the perfectly modeled sound of vintage synthesizers, the Roland Aira System-1 has received new features in the form of digital effects, a powerful arpeggiator with a SCATTER function and the ability to save patches. Also, the Roland Aira System-1 is designed for easy exchange of MIDI and audio data with your favorite digital station via USB and has the most comfortable integration with other devices of the AIRA series.

In the 70s of the last century, the Japanese company made a mark by launching several qualitatively new models on the market, including the modular 700 system with amazing sound, which was a great achievement for that time. Wide, sometimes even airy sounds of the past years can now be reproduced using the Roland Aira System-1, for example, enriching them with colorful timbre transitions or high and ringing sounds with a metallic tinge, for additional revitalization of the sound.

The main work on creating sound on the Roland Aira System-1 is performed by oscillators, in which classical wave forms in their pure form create an assertive and bright sound with their characteristic shades, and combined waves form wider unison timbres. Mutual modulation and synchronization of oscillators on the Roland Aira System-1, offers the usual tools for spectrum enrichment, and the operation of the low-frequency filter further evokes the work of old analog synthesizers.

To select the operating mode, the Roland Aira System-1 has a convenient "Plug-out" option, in which some of the front panel elements are deactivated, and the other part changes its purpose, this is done to simulate the work on the legendary old models, such as the SH-101 or SH-2. The fact is that the models of previous years, compared to the Roland Aira System-1, were much simpler and had a minimum number of settings on the front panel, so in this mode of operation, all unnecessary settings are blocked and the green light goes out on them.

Japanese developers of the Roland Aira System-1 have always been distinguished by progressive thinking, which has had a huge impact on the development of electronic musical instruments, for example, the famous bass synthesizer TB303 or rhythm machines TR808 and TR909, have received great recognition and formed the basis of several musical styles. Also, the creators of the Roland Aira System-1 have made a significant contribution to computer music, and some popular MIDI interfaces have become a de facto standard and role model.
